All acupuncture is good, it's just that treatments from Soya are so much better. I have been in constant debilitating pain from arthritis and fibromyalgia. Multiple surgeries did not bring relief. I had several courses of acupuncture but stopped the treatments after months with little relief. I developed TMJ following dental work. My husband encouraged me to try again and this time we found Soya. I am able to walk without a cane for the first time in years. I sleep better at night. I feel more self-confident and my life is better balanced. Oh yes, my TMJ was gone after the first treatment. There are no strangers in this place. Soya brings you into a place of warmth, caring, and peace. This is calming time. There is no timer clicking beside you to let you know time is up."

"I never thought I would try acupuncture in my entire life. I wasn't going to get stuck with needles for anything, but when my shoulder pains started to get progressively worse every day due to my repetitious factory work, I knew I had to put my fear aside. I was really surprised how painless the experience was. I received a handful of acupuncture treatments in a course of several weeks. I got relief and what is really surprising, I wasn't sure how long my relief would last since my work is repetitious. I couldn't change my constant, daily routine. My shoulders are really holding up well almost a year later! Acupuncture works! I'm convinced."

I am 31 years old and I was treated for not being able to walk last July 2002. I have had a history of French Polio for many years. I had a very bad gait and had a hard time getting around. This happened suddenly and mysteriously, and it leads to many appointments, with an attempt, to understand and to determine the cause. By October, I had made visits to a number of doctors, including neurologists at Sparrow Hospital and The University of Michigan Hospital. Many diagnostic tests were given, but none of which had results that would help explain my condition. I went to see a Neurologist for about two months, but he said he could not do anything for me because nothing showed up on the tests given. At the end of my treatment, he told me to go see a psychiatrist because he thought it was in my head. I also got a second opinion at U of M Neurology Department in Ann Arbor. They too told me to go see a shrink.
After trying to seek answers for my condition with modern medicine, I then turned to ancient medicine-Acupuncture. I learned that my body was very unbalanced and that I needed to get my body back into balance. My acupuncture treatments were aggressive and lasted for approximately seven months, with occasional visits from time to time as maintenance. I can not fully describe or explain the acupuncture points of the treatments, but I do know that it was painless and effective.
I am very blessed to know that there is another way to be treated other than modern medicine which tells you that "it is all in your head" and "here is a pill, you will get better". I believe that acupuncture is definitely a treatment that has cured me of many issues I have had in the past and now has given me a more healthy and fuller life. I was told to eat healthier, get a good amount of exercise and rest. I may never know the exact cause of the problem, but certainly, I do know that it was treated, as I walked once again in April 2003."

"I suffered from insomnia for about 2 1/2 years. I would go through bouts where I wouldn't be able to fall asleep for days, then get myself so worked up I would aggravate the situation. I tried everything from prescription sleeping pills, which only made me feel worse the morning after to alternative doctors and medication, which unfortunately did not change my situation. Not until I sought out acupuncture did my sleeping pattern change. In two visits I found myself relaxing and not up thinking about the next day. My mind was finally relaxed and not spinning with tomorrow's information. Soya introduced me to a tapping method, which at first seemed kind of silly but once I used this practice I could tell this was training my brain to think differently. I spent years telling myself I wouldn't fall asleep to actually accepting and trying to change things. My life has changed in so many positive ways since acupuncture and learning the tapping method. I recommend this treatment to anyone who is suffering from any kind of sleeping or stress disorder. It's a life-changing experience!"

Dear Soya:
I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my results so far with the acupuncture treatments I have been receiving from you. After only four visits,, I am experiencing significantly less pain in my back, neck, and hip, as well as increased energy levels.
I've had acupuncture from other practitioners, and I've always been nervous before my visit because I really dislike needles! However, your technique is so gentle that I experience very little if any discomfort. In fact, it's not that it hurts so much as psychologically my knowing that a needle is going into my skin!
I've also experienced wonderful emotional release with the tapping technique you've used with me before my treatments. I think the acupuncture and Emotional Freedom Technique compliment each other very well.
Thank you, again for the wonderful work that you do.
Sincerely,
Vicki from Macomb Township
I work out at the gym several times a week and managed to irritate my trapezius muscles due to some heavy weight-lifting. I used to get 2 massages every week for many, many months to control the tightness, discomfort, and pain. A friend told me to try acupuncture and I have to say that in 3 visits, my chronic shoulder pain is gone! I'm happy I don't have the pain like I did. I enjoy the treatments and find it very relaxing and even though I am pain-free, I want to make sure I stay that way so, I've opted for once a month treatment for maintenance. It worked for me. Thanks!

Soya,
Just wanted to thank you for all you did to help me through this "trying to conceive" journey. I have no doubt that your treatments played a role in me getting pregnant.

I have been going to Soya for 8 months and she has changed my life. She was recommended to me after I was diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a condition of having a low platelet count. After being on steroids for a few months, my doctor determined that I would have to take more extreme measures and could ultimately have my spleen removed. Since a splenectomy was not an option for me, I started taking the herbal combinations prescribed by Soya. After 1 month, my platelet count bounced back to the low end of the “normal” range and after 2 months my count was right in the middle. When my doctor saw the results, her view on herbs changed. She amazed at how quickly the acupuncture, combined with the herbs, worked to get my platelet count stabilized. Now that we have my platelets under control, we are working on my psoriasis and arthritis. I am confident we will have these managed by the end of the year.

After several months of pain in my neck and back and trying everything from steroids, muscle relaxors and numerous pain medications, my doctor said I needed surgery. Instead, I tried acupuncture. After 3 visits I had no pain in my neck or back and my life with two small children was back to normal. I would recommend to anyone to try acupuncture before surgery.

Because I had been suffering headaches for about six months, I was open to any alternative toward getting relief. By an unusual coincidence, Soya Lee’s name was mentioned as someone treating this person with acupuncture. My first treatment I must admit was in spite of some trepidation. But I can truthfully say after that I was amazed how much I looked forward to heading to Soya’s clinic.
In addition, when I mentioned my acupuncture to my U of M headache specialist, he encouraged me to continue with this form of treatment.

I am so amazed at how acupuncture has worked for me. Today I came to see Soya because I could not fully extend my right arm at the bicep. Soya never placed a needle in my arm or shoulder or neck, she placed the needles in my toe and knee and before I left her office the muscle has released and I am almost at full extension. The arm feels very good now and I can feel now as the rest of the day goes on, I will be able to fully extend my arm. This acupuncture treatment has fixed what 2 very skilled massage therapists were unable to do. I am so pleased with Soya Lee’s work at Harmony Acupuncture in Southfield, Mi.
Thank you Soya.

I have been seeking a solution for the pain in my chest, at the sternum, for at least 5 years.
My family doctor ordered x-rays and nothing was found that could explain the pain. He also explored the possibility of heart or lung issues that may cause it and nothing. He sent me to a physical medicine specialist; who gave me a RX compound salve which helped a bit while I was applying it but as soon as it was gone the pain was back.
He then sent me for a CAT scan at this area which also showed nothing but the pain was still present.
I tried Motrin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen (800mg) with no relief. To ease my pain I decided to try acupuncture. I found Soya Lee through friends and am very impressed with her.
She also treated me for pain in my lower back. For this pain, I had two series of 3&4 shots in my spine area; if this had eased the pain the doctor would have then lasered the nerves to kill the pain. She concentrated on my pain areas and after only one treatment I noticed improvement the second day. After 3 treatments, I am pain-free. I and my family are so thankful Soya Lee!

Came to see Soya for anxiety. Mentioned my bunion pain. I am now anxiety free and free of bunion pain thanks to acupuncture. Just got back from vacation and walked all over Las Vegas and had zero bunion pain. Thanks, Soya!

I initially sought acupuncture to treat a chronic headache and migraine issues. In evaluating my overall health, Soya learned of my Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and said she could help with that. I had suffered from IBS for over 15 years and tried many medications and diets, all with little or no success. The doctors had said it was just something I had to live with. But with Soya's recommended diet
changes and acupuncture treatments, I have now gone over four months without one IBS episode (before I had bouts 4 to 5 days a week). Needless to say, I am thrilled! My headaches are also under control, and I have been able to stop taking daily medication for them, so I feel much better overall.
